Can I form a team?

You sure can! A team is a great way to fundraise with friends and family. You can create a team when you sign up, or afterwards from your fundraising dashboard.

On your Fundraising page, click the Teams button to Create or Join a team. If you Create a Team, you will become the Team Admin for your new Team page and be responsible for approving new members. If for some reason you have to leave your team (and you are the Admin) you must assign another Team member as the Admin BEFORE you leave the team. Otherwise the Team will be Disbanded.

If you need any assistance please contact the MNDSA Walk Team on fundraising@mndsa.org.au or 8234 8448.

Fundraising Questions

What are my fundraising badges?

Badges are how we recognise you for being awesome! You’ll be awarded them automatically and all your donors can see how much of a superstar you are.

How do I donate to myself?

Donating to yourself is a great way to get started. It shows donors that you are committed and you have broken the ice by going first.

In your dashboard just click the green Donate button on your page to make a donation to your page.

How do I convince people to donate?

When you’re talking about why you are fundraising, make sure you speak personally. People are donating because this cause is important to you. Tell a personal story about why you’ve taken this incredible step to fundraise for MNDSA.

What does Walk to Defeat MND fundraising support?

Here’s what your fundraising will support:

1. It supports people and families right now
Funds go toward care services for people living with MND in South Australia—things like mobility equipment, communication devices, and support programs that improve quality of life for those affected.

2. It raises awareness
Events like the Walk to Defeat MND bring visibility to MND. Greater awareness can lead to earlier diagnosis, more community support and increased funding.

3. It builds community and solidarity
Participating in the Walk to Defeat MND shows people living with MND that they’re not alone. It creates a shared sense of purpose among families, carers and supporters.

4. It continues momentum from past impact
Public support has already driven progress and continued fundraising keeps that momentum going!

If you’re considering getting involved, it’s not just about the money, it’s about contributing to a broader effort that combines care and community action.
