2025 Health Professional Webinar Bundle – 5 Webinars

The 2025 MND Health Professionals Webinar Series is a collaboration between MND State Associations including MND Victoria, MND NSW, MND SA and MND QLD.

By registering for this health professional webinar bundle – access will be provided to all 5 of the 2024 Health Professionals Webinar events and recordings.

This series of 5 webinars provides an opportunity for health professionals to hear from a range of National MND Experts and develop insights and knowledge into pertinent or challenging topics relating to MND care and management.

Cost: $35 per webinar, or $150 bundle package for all 5

Hosted by MND Victoria, enjoy a facilitated Q&A with a panel of MND experts who will explore cognitive, language, behavioural and personality changes relating to MND, as well as strategies to manage them.

Balancing Dignity of Risk and Ethical Decision-Making: Supporting Client Autonomy 

Hosted by MND Queensland, this session explores the practical and ethical dimensions of supporting client autonomy through dignity of risk. We’ll share insights into balancing safety with client choice, focusing on real-world scenarios such as risk feeding, supporting safer smoking, and transferring without assistance. We’ll raise ethical and legal considerations and offer practical strategies to respect client rights, promote informed decision-making and navigate complex care situations.

Voluntary Assisted Dying (VAD): The process and considerations for Allied Health Professionals

Each State has slight differences in the VAD approval process, but the actual mechanism of VAD is the same nationwide. Hosted by MND Queensland, this session explores the VAD process, its limitations and the health professional role. Gain insights from those who’ve had direct experience with VAD and gather practical takeaways that may help improve health professionals’ ability to support those considering the VAD process.
